In this four-week online course, students will be improving their Endgame Play by learning Pawn Tactics, Advanced King Play, and by analyzing common and/or famous chess endings.

Class Experience
Chess training and practice supports the student's development of many higher order thinking skills (HOTS)—like problem solving, decision making, critical and creative thinking, planning, and even spatial intelligence. Chess training and practice also helps them improve general cognitive ability and scholastic achievement—especially in mathematics. Students will gain mastery over the final phase of a game of chess, the Endgame.
No homework will be given, but regular practice is highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve their gameplay!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be sure students have a lichess.org account set up in "kids mode". I will also be sharing my screen from lichess.org
We will be using https://lichess.org for live gameplay.
