Class Experience

Students will make predications for the story. Students will deepen their understanding of comprehension and learn a strategy to apply when reading or listening to text. Students will collaborate with others while participating in a book discussion and generating questions. Students will write complete sentences in order to finish the graphic organizer. Students will be active listeners as they listen to the read aloud and the peer discussion. Students will review rhyme scheme and how it adds to the story.

You will need a pencil or something to write with, and an outline of a hand to use as our graphic organizer (you may want to ask an adult in the house to trace their hand, because we will be writing inside the fingers and palm so we need room to write). There is also a handprint sheet that you can print out if you wish.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
