Hello! In this one time class I will teach your student what to do if they encounter a dangerous animal while traveling, or living in Central or South America. We will learn what to do in the event of an encounter with: -Alligators -Crocodiles -The very many species of venomous snakes -The very many species of venomous spiders -Jaguars -Mountain Lions -Sloths -Ant Eaters -Sharks -Coyotes -Bullet Ant -Poiston Dart Frog and if time permits, a few more. I will teach by asking lots of questions, so I encourage participation, big time. Lecture style will also be used, along with showing pictures, and a few short videos.

Parental Guidance
This class will not be at all scary. We will talk about simple techniques such as slowly walking away from a mountain lion, while shouting and making noise. Nothing bloody, or graphic will be shown. I have a similar class like this and have had 0 complaints.

I am a U.S. military veteran, former Firefighter/Emergency Medical Responder, and have been an outdoorsman and survival enthusiast for over 25 years. I have also been in several unfortunate scenarios where I have had to use my survival skills to stay safe and alive, such as experiencing hypothermia, heatstroke, encountering dangerous animals, and sustaining serious injuries.
My training and experience includes:
-U.S. Coast Guard. During my time serving, I participated in many federal law enforcement and search and rescue missions, and was part of a hurricane response team in South Florida.
-I was a Firefighter/First Responder for 10 years.
-I have taught basic first aid, and emergency preparedness to many children, and adults.
-I have had a great deal of training in urban & wilderness survival, survival psychology, critical incident peer support, emergency management, and disaster preparedness.
-I have also been on many wonderful outdoor adventures and had the unique privilege of mentoring under other fellow veterans which include: special operations servicemen, military medics/ corpsman, and combat survival instructors.
