Class Experience

Students will:
-Be able to identify bugs and insects they may come in contact with
-Learn about safety when it comes to being around bugs and insects
-Learn some new facts about poisonous bugs and insects
Materials to make a Naturalist Journal: -A lunch sized brown paper bag (construction paper can be substituted if needed) -3 sheets of plain white paper -A pipe cleaner or yarn -A hole punch -Scissors -Colored pencils (preferred) Crayons can be used as an alternative
2 hours 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Young learners may need help assembling the naturalist journal during our first class. We will be folding paper, cutting along one edge, punching holes in the sides, and then tying yarn or twisting a pipe cleaner through the holes.

If you would like to list your learners location (country, state, region) on our class page, I will do my best to make sure that some of the plants we discuss can be found in your area. If you are not comfortable listing this in the classroom page, feel free to avoid this question or send me a private message.
