Description

Class Experience

In this class students will move their bodies in dynamic and complex ways to enhance learning.

Students will leave the class with a familiarity of the letter S in the following ways:
- They can identify the letter S
- They can write the letter S
- They are aware of the sound of the letter S
- They can recall vocabulary that starts with the letter S
Between classes, students will find an object in their house that starts with the letter S that they want to share with the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will provide a summary of the child's progress as a written message to the parent after the three weeks is over.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
It is best if students can work without shoes. Bare feet are best, and socks work well if on carpet. Socks on wood or tile floors can be slippery and dangerous. Please clear a small area where your child can comfortably be on the floor. Please have water available if the child needs some during our session.

About Me

Hi! My name is Jessica and I love teaching preschoolers how to read and write using movement! I use embodied learning in my classes, which means I use movement to teach conceptual ideas such as reading and writing. The body is a super power tool...
