I studied all styles of dance beginning at age five and attended dance conventions from a wide variety of teachers and choreographers in the professional dance industry. I have taught all styles of dance to all ages for over fifteen years at dance studios, park and rec programs, and independently. I also developed a dance class experience for parents and toddlers to enjoy together in 2006 when I was seven months pregnant with my second child who is currently studying with the School of American Ballet in New York City. I have attended the Dance Teachers Summit in New York City, taking classes and seminars with a variety of children's dance teachers from across the country. I am fortunate to have access to a vibrant arts community in New York City which constantly inspires my teaching.

It is important to have an open space for your dancer to move about in during class. Please be sure to move toys or loose items out of the way that could trip the dancer. Ballet shoes or jazz shoes are recommended, but not required. If the dancer is on some type of hardwood floor, they should wear dance shoes or some type of tennis shoes to prevent slipping. Students are encouraged to have a water bottle close by during class.
