Dance With Me - Princess Power
Class experience
Get ready to LET IT GO, WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK, and see A WHOLE NEW WORLD! In this one-time class, dancers will be lead through a variety of princess themed dance and creative movement activities and participate in a show and tell at the end of class. As we enjoy songs from many of our favorite princesses, dancers will engage in activities that include basic ballet and jazz dance skills. Passes, chasses, bourree turns, lunges, and step touches are just some of the core dance steps learners...
I studied all styles of dance beginning at age five and attended dance conventions from some of the top teachers and choreographers in the industry. I taught all styles of dance to all ages for over fifteen years at dance studios, park and rec programs, and independently. My speciality quickly became preschoolers and I also developed a dance class experience for parents and toddlers to enjoy together in 2006 when I was seven months pregnant with my second child who is currently studying with the School of American Ballet in New York City. I have attended the Dancer Teachers Summit in New York City, taking classes and seminars with some of the top children's dance teachers in the country. I am fortunate to have access to a vibrant arts community in New York City which constantly inspires my teaching.
Open space Ballet shoes suggested or socks Water bottle close by A wand or something that could be used as a pretend wand
It is important to have an open space for your dancer to move during class. Ballet shoes or socks are recommended. If the dancer is on a hardwood type floor, they should wear ballet shoes or some type of tennis shoe to prevent slipping. Students are welcome to have a water bottle close by during class. A reminder for parents that Miss Jenny comes to class as herself:). I will not be portraying a princess character, but dancers might see me in my Snow White headband or another princess associated item.
