In this one time class your child will discover the music and story of the Swan Lake Ballet! Students will learn the definitions of a composer and choreographer, learn about classical music, learn classical ballet pantomime, and the story of Swan Lake. Also, students will learn basic ballet steps and movements and how they relate to the ballet. They will also learn to move their arms like a swan! No experience is necessary. All are welcome! It is a wonderful class to learn about classical ballet and movement.
Learning Goals
The students will learn the classical music of Swan Lake, the definitions of a composer and choreographer, the story of Swan Lake, basic pantomime of classical ballet, basic ballet steps and movements.

Parental Guidance
Learners need to have a clutter free space. Please have your child in bare feet or non-slip socks or ballet shoes. No pointe shoes please. They should have a water bottle too. Please watch your child during class for safety purposes.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Ann Fields is a classically trained ballet dancer who has danced The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. She has a BFA in Ballet and teaches classical ballet. She also has her RYT-200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) and her RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher) certifications. She has a passion for the arts, wellness and working with children.
