I will take you on an amazing journey with our Zumbini characters - Hili, Kalino, Jose and TJ. Will we successfully make the journey from the jungle to the beach? We will go on a virtual trip to the jungle, the train, the bus, the boat but will we make it all the way to the beach? Will we find a Unicorn? We dance, we sing, we chat, we include our chat in song, we dance, we sing, we dance and wave our scarf in the air, we end with a calming refocus scarf activity, and farewell chat and song. We celebrate all levels of participation including kinetic, auditory and visual. If you have not already heard, Zumbini® for Schools is an early childhood education program for children ages 2 to 5 years. Created by Zumba® and BabyFirst®, our program uses music, movement, and dance to promote cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development all masked behind a fun and engaging class. Children want and need repetition to gain mastery of skills so the more Zumbini classes your learner attends, the more your learner will reap the benefits. Our Zumbini® for Schools class is structured as follows: 1. Structured Movement Dance 2. The Welcome Song 3. Unmute for a lead discussion 4. Sit & Sing with focus on topics from discussion 5. Dance - Structured 6. Sing with Small Movement 7. Dance with a Prop - Scarf 8. Calming Refocus Song e.g., Peek-a-boo and Scarf play 9. Unmute for a farewell discussion 10. Goodbye Song Note: In the unlikely event we breeze though the class and there is extra time you will be treated to a post-class Zumbini story or two. If you have any tech issues connecting on the day or during class please connect with Outschool support and myself and we will sort something out for you. Please note that this class is focused on movement, simple dance moves, and singing songs with limited social time during two short optional interaction sections. I will always be watching your learner and balancing giving them audible feedback with ensuring I follow the format above to cater for and celebrate all levels of participation including visual, auditory and kinetic. I make the most of the virtual class set up to enhance your learners class experience and if any videos are played during class they are unique to my classes or class format and not widely available. Your learner may simply watch or listen, or they may move, sing, dance, or any combination to the above. They are welcome to take it in in their own way. The creators of Zumba® have found a way to create a program that makes childhood education engaging and fun. Billed as an adorable distance-friendly activity, virtual Zumbini® connects with younger children through joyous activity. I will be teaching cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development the fun way, hidden in play! No prior experience is needed. Just be ready for your learner to move, sing, dance, listen or watch.

Parental Guidance
Parent or caregiver is required to supervise the learner during this activity, especially when using props. As I will mute all the participants during the dancing and singing, I would love if you could be on-hand to unmute your learner on request. It is important to note that we will dance around and sit on the floor to sing during our Zumbini classes, so it is suggested to utilise a space such as the living room rather than be seated at the kitchen table, etc. While Zumbini is not a fitness program, it does involve quite a bit of movement and you may want to dress your learner in comfortable clothing. Please have a large enough space available for your learner to dance around and that it is clear of any potential hazards that someone may bump into, etc. Finally, please feel free to join in with your learner off camera. While not at all essential, your learner will love watching you join in too.
Supply List
Please note that we will use small scarf in this class. This can be a scarf, blanket, bandana, hand towel, dishcloth, tea-towel, t-shirt, pillowcase, etc. or you can simply let your learner's imagination be the scarf.

As a Licenced Zumbin Instructor, this class uses the Zumbini® for Schools music, characters, and class structure from the music album and song book bundle "Kalino Finds the Music". If you would like access to the music outside our class to continue the fun at home, this can be arranged from Zumbini® for a small fee.
