I've studied with Ballet Magnificat professional ballet company, The Royal Academy of Dance, The Classical Academy of Dance, Instructors from The Ohio Ballet, Finus Jhung at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater in NYC, and I was a lead choreographer in Dance Concert at Baldwin Wallace College. I currently have certifications with FiTour for Group Exercise Instruction and Advanced Barre Classes.
4 hours 35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students Will Need: *An Open Work-Out Space *Water Bottle, if desired *Dress: Students may take class in dance or work-out clothes, like leotards or dri-fit clothing, if desired *Footwear: ballet slippers *Barre: a barre (chair, table or kitchen counter to hold onto while executing exercises) *Adequate Stretching beforehand, if needed. However, we will start with a warm-up. Dance is an artistic, athletic & expressive form of physical activity. The physical aspects can be both a valuable source of exercise and also have unique demands. Dance will involve jumping, turning, toe pointing, and hip adductor exercises, and will target core, abs, arms, gluts and quads. I strongly recommend you consult with a physician before beginning any exercise program. You should be in healthy physical condition to be able to participate in the dance exercises in this class.
