In this ongoing ballet and tap class, students will learn a variety of dance moves and choreography. Kids will have a lot of fun dancing to their favorite songs. New choreography each week. This is a beginning level class, no previous knowledge is necessary. As this is a combination class, every other week will focus on one style. No tap shoes required, but if you have them that will be great. Students will be up and moving the entire class! Class Format: 5 Minutes: Introduction/Warm-Up 5 Minutes: Overview of some moves/vocabulary 5 Minutes "Across the floor" practice of our new moves 15 Minutes: Learn approximately 20 seconds of dance choreography. We will use Disney and Kidz Bop versions of popular songs. Each section and move will be broken down piece by piece. At the end of class, we will have a final "performance" and students will pretend they are performing in a dance recital in their living room! January 10-16: Ballet January 17-23: Tap January 24-30: Ballet January 31-February 6: Tap February 7- February 13: Ballet February 14-February 20: Tap February 21-February 27: Ballet New material will be learned every week. Feel free to join at any time. Virtual Performing Arts Academy is a warm and welcoming performance studio. We strive to inspire all our students. We believe each of our students is a star!

Parental Guidance
As with any type of fitness activity, there is potential for injury. Students should have enough room to move around during class free from any furniture and other objects. They should wear comfortable clothing. They may wear closed-toed shoes (sneakers), dance shoes, or dance barefoot when appropriate.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
