I studied all styles of dance beginning at age five and attended dance conventions from some of the top teachers and choreographers in the industry. I taught all styles of dance to all ages for over fifteen years at dance studios, park and rec programs, and independently. My speciality quickly became preschoolers and I also developed a dance class experience for parents and toddlers to enjoy together in 2006 when I was seven months pregnant with my second child who is currently studying with the School of American Ballet in New York City. I have attended the Dancer Teachers Summit in New York City, taking classes and seminars with some of the top children's dance teachers in the country. I am fortunate to have access to a vibrant arts community in New York City which constantly inspires my teaching. And...I am a Star Wars fan thanks to my son, Sam:). I am not a Star Wars expert like him, but I love the movies and have wanted to develop a class around it for quite some time!

Ballet shoes or jazz shoes are recommended, but not required. If the dancer is on a hardwood type floor, they should wear ballet shoes or some type of tennis shoe to prevent slipping. Students should have a water bottle close by during class.
