Class Experience
Every day can be a party when you play dance games! This one time class if chock full of fun as learners play a variety of dance games and creative movement play suitable for beginner to advanced dancers and movers. At the beginning of class the teacher will greet everyone. Then each learner will get a chance to say their name and show a fun and unique dance move. The class will then repeat the name and move! (please note that due to background noise, learners may be muted at the beginning...
The main goal of this class is to have fun! Learners will stretch, turn, jump, twist, hop, kick and more. Dance Games, Dance Party is meant to get kids moving in fun and creative ways.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please create a space that is open and large enough for your dancer to move, dance, jump, kick and glide without bumping into things. Learners should wear comfortable clothing that they can easily move in. Learners should either wear dance shoes (ie. ballet or jazz shoes) or have bare feet. Please no socks, as dancers can easily slip while wearing them. Dancers may have a water bottle nearby, and take a sip when needed. Please help your learner know how to mute and unmute themselves. There could be times during the class when this skill is needed. Please understand that the teacher may mute students when excessive background noise is heard from one or more learners, or when focus needs to be directed to the teacher.
