Description
Class Experience
This basic ballet dance class is for boys and girls ages 3-6 years old. Any dancer of any background (or no dance background) can join this class! We work on skills such as jumping, balancing, galloping. Students will dance together as a whole group and individually for independent practice. We work on ballet steps such as plié, relevé, arabesque, passé, tendu, and arm and feet positions, and continue to expand their repertoire. We begin introducing tap steps such as a flap, shuffle, dig,...
Students will improve their knowledge of basic dance steps by learning the names and body positions for the steps.
I have been a dancer for over 20 years of my life, and I own a children's dance company. I have been an elementary school teacher for many years, so I love working with children and DANCE is my passion!

If you child can bring something to use for "sticks" during class that would be great! Suggestions would be: wooden spoons, pens/markers, or just anything they can safely use to bang together for some of our songs! :-)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:

Parental guidance is recommended since students will be physically active. An open space free free of debris is recommended for safety.
