Hello Angelfish! During this class, we will hear our favorite songs to Little Mermaid, and also boogie our bodies with easy to follow dance moves. This class will begin with a short warm up to get our bodies ready to dance. Then we will dive into the choreography (dance moves), which are easy to follow and age appropriate. Through the choreography, we will learn real dance terms, and some back story and history about the origins of moves, terms and fun facts about the story! We will usually get to one song a class. NOTE- you do not need to be an actual mermaid to participate!
Learning Goals
Students will work on their follow skills, presentational skills, and most of all, dancing!

Doctoral Degree in English from Drew University
Master's Degree from Kean University
Bachelor's Degree in English from William Paterson University
For the past 20 years, I have been the producing artistic director of a youth theater company doing musicals with kids and teens. I do everything from picking the shows, auditions, directing, choreography, and even costumes! I also teach all kinds of arts classes, from kindergarten through adult. Not only do I love to sing and dance, I also love to read, travel, and I've been cooking up a storm. While I have been doing theater my whole life, I went to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. During that time, I worked behind the scenes on BROADWAY at the Palace theater for Beauty and the Beast, and at the New Amsterdam Theater for King David, The Premier of Hercules, and Lion King. I have worked off- BROADWAY as well, as a director/ choreographer at the Times Square Experience Center, Dylan's, The Duplex, and The Player's Theater. I went on to earn my Bachelor's in English Literature, my Master's in Liberal Studies with a certificate in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, and my Doctorate in Literary Studies with a Musical Theater Scholarly Dissertation. Teaching is so fun because I get to share skills with you, in a really fun way, and best part is, you are the star!! This spring, I did Frozen twice, so I really want to share the magic!
