This beginner dance class will introduce basic movements of hip hop. We will warm-up, stretch and learn a fun, upbeat, new routine every class. We will also do an activity in each class towards the end of class. Feel free to dress up!
Class experience
Each class we will do a stretch first, and warm-up our bodies and then we will dive into our choreography for the day. Water breaks will be given during class and at the end of class we will do an activity which might include a game or craft! (If you are unable to print out any attachments you can always bring a blank piece of paper!) Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. The songs are upbeat and fun. The goal of this ongoing class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a routine by the end of every class!
I have been teaching for 22 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. I am currently teaching P.E./Dance at an Elementary School here in FL! My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!

Class 1: Bring the pin the poison apple on the descendant attachment or you can bring your own paper and target to play! You will need tape or sticky note. Class 2: Bring the Zombies Bingo attachment or bring your own paper and something to write with. Class 3: Bring a pretend sword with you to class or something that resembles one: ie: paper towel roll, wooden spoon, ruler, pool noodle... Class 4: Bring a flashlight or glow stick if you can! We will dim the lights and dance in the dark like in the movie! Class 5: Bring the attachment or a piece of paper and something to write with to write down your answers for trivia!!!
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. Scissors will be needed for some crafts. (Dance at your own risk.)
