Dance Class - Hip Hop/Musical Theatre -Descendants/Zombies Multi-Day Dance Class
This beginner dance class will introduce basic movements of hip hop. We will warm-up, stretch and learn a fun, upbeat, new routine every class. We will also do an activity in each class towards the end of class. Feel free to dress up!

Each class we will do a stretch first, and warm-up our bodies and then we will dive into our choreography for the day. Water breaks will be given during class and at the end of class we will do an activity which might include a game or craft! (If you are unable to print out any attachments you can always bring a blank piece of paper!) Class 1: Descendants - "Rotten To The Core" - In this class we will play "Pin the Poison Apple on the Descendant" at the end of class. You can bring the attachment or your own piece of paper. Class 2: Zombies - "Wolves" - In this class we will play Zombies/Wolves Bingo! You can print out the attachment or bring a blank piece of paper to play along! We will play this at the end of class. Class 3: Descendants "Knight Falls" In this class bring a pretend sword to dance with. If you don't have one you can always bring something that resembles a sword like a pool noodle, a ruler, wooden spoon, paper towel roll. We will dance with our "swords" during class! Class 4: Zombies "Bamm" In this class we will recreate the scene from the song Bamm from Zombies 1! If you can bring a flashlight or glow stick that would be great, if not no worries, if you want to dim your lights you can do that too. Class 5: Descendants/Zombies Mashup! "Do It Like The Zombies Do/Chillin Like A Villain" - In this class we will enjoy music from Descendants and Zombies and at the end of class we will play some Descendants and Zombies trivia! *The duration of the warm-up and choreography time may vary do to student participation. Length of routine may vary depending on ability of majority to pick up choreography. *All music is age appropriate and goes with our theme. *Choreography learned will be of my own creation, inspired by the Descendants/Zombies moves. *Message me anytime with questions! *If you have taken my individual classes before or 8 week session you have completed some of these classes, it is ok to repeat! *Great option for those that homeschool looking for arts or P.E. option or looking for extracurricular activity for after school or weekends!
Learning Goals
Your child will learn basic movements of hip hop and movement. The songs are upbeat and fun. The goal of this ongoing class is to get the student excited about dance, move around and exercise, learn something new and learn a routine by the end of every class!
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Make sure your child is taking class in a safe space in a clear area where they can extend their arms out side to side and front and back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing. Scissors will be needed for some crafts. (Dance at your own risk.)
Supply List
Class 1: Bring the pin the poison apple on the descendant attachment or you can bring your own paper and target to play! You will need tape or sticky note. Class 2: Bring the Zombies Bingo attachment or bring your own paper and something to write with. Class 3: Bring a pretend sword with you to class or something that resembles one: ie: paper towel roll, wooden spoon, ruler, pool noodle... Class 4: Bring a flashlight or glow stick if you can! We will dim the lights and dance in the dark like in the movie! Class 5: Bring the attachment or a piece of paper and something to write with to write down your answers for trivia!!!
