45 minute class
No experience is needed! However if you are more technically trained, there will be variations available for those students. Students will learn stretches to improve mobility, simple choreography to develop hand-eye coordination as well as body awareness, and strength training exercises to build muscle for injury prevention. The class will go as follows: *Stretches - 10 minutes *Dancing - 25 minutes (different song and choreography each class) *Strength Exercises - 10 minutes
Students will learn the importance of taking care of their body. They will recognize that it is crucial to stretch before physical activity and to build up themselves. This will give them a huge boost in confidence. With the choreography, the students will learn to listen to music actively, learn how to count in their heads to keep up with the rhythm, and learn to challenge their coordination as well as exercise their muscle memory. More technically advanced moves can be incorporated if desired.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There are always potential hazards with physical activities. Therefore please be advised that the student needs an open workout space, proper non-slip footwear, a water bottle, and proper clothing. Injuries can occur if not properly supervised.
