Dance Class - Country Hoedown/ Hip Hop - Beginner
In this one-time only class, we will warm-up and stretch our bodies first, then learn an upbeat dance, country style! We will also make a craft at the end of class. Yee Haw!

During this class we will start off with a warm-up, we will do cardio exercises and stretch our bodies for about the first 7 minutes. We will then learn choreography to an upbeat country song! At the end of our routine, everyone will have time to do freestyle! There will be a couple of breaks during class to ensure your child has had enough time to cool down so they stay safe. The break at the end of class will include time to craft a cowboy/cowgirl hat ( about 5 minutes)! *Duration of warm-up, choreography, and game may vary do to student participation. Length of routine may vary depending on the ability of the group to pick up choreography. *All music is age appropriate and goes with our theme. *Choreography learned will be of my own creation. *Great option for those that homeschool looking for arts, P.E., or looking for an after school or weekend extracurricular activity!
Learning Goals
Your child will learn the basic movements of dance. This song is upbeat and fun and age appropriate. The goal of this class is to get the student excited about dance, and to get them moving around and exercising. And of course to get them learning a new dance routine by the end of class.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
Make sure your student is taking the class in an open space where they can safely extend their arms out side to side and front to back. Also, make sure your child has water nearby and wears comfortable clothing so they have the best experience possible. (Dance at your own risk).
Supply List
We will be making a cowboy/cowgirl hat! The attachment is located with the welcome message. If you are unable to print the cowboy/girl hat, bring a blank piece of paper. You will also need scissors, crayons, stapler or tape, and any other items you want to bring to decorate your hat with.
