Dance Around the World With Intermediate Tap Dance Class
This will be a 7 week ongoing class starting the week of 1/3 and end the week of 2/28. We will be focusing on across the floor, and center tap skills. In addition we will be learning a Tap combination each week.

DANCE WEEK SCHEDULES STARTS ON MONDAY ENDS ON FIRDAY 1) What will be taught? During these classes we will expand on our simple tap steps to create more complicated rhythms in the center and going across the floor. In addition we will learn a Tap routine featuring a combination to go along with the country of the week. . 2) What topics will you cover? In Tap, we will cover, Time steps, drawbacks, alternating drawbacks, pull backs, waltz clog, flap heels, shuffles, toe taps, paddle diddles,...
Our overall goal During these classes is to build up more stamina, focus on complicating basic steps, and how to combine steps to make a dance routine. learn facts about countries around the world. In addition we will practice, review, learn and master the following steps: Drawbacks, alternating drawbacks, pull backs single's and doubles, double waltz clog, flap heels, shuffles, toe taps, paddle diddles, heel digs, and cramp rolls, double cramp rolls, maxi-fours, buffalo's and more.
I have been teaching dance for the past 3 years, and I have taught beginner/intermediate level dance in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Lyrical. In addition, I have choreographed many middle school productions. I also will have a minor in dance, Early Childhood Education and a BA in Psychology (graduating December 2020).
No Homework, but I encourage all students to keep practicing and Dancing outside of the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will be assessing each student visually by giving corrections or praise when necessary.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be participating in a physical fitness/movement activities though out the class. Please be aware that your child can end up injuring themselves. Therefore please make sure your child has sufficient dance space, proper foot ware (choice of ballet shoes, or barefoot/socks). In addition, I encourage all students to have a water bottle near by and that the student is warmed up before class to avoid injury’s. Parental supervision is strongly encourage to help your dancer assure there safety and spacial awareness.
