Description
Class Experience
Skills learned: Word structures for automatic decoding and spelling. Word recognition and spelling of high frequency words, including irregular words. Vocabulary, word understanding, and word-learning skills. Sentence-level text reading with ease, expression, and understanding.
I am a Certified dyslexia and reading specialist and have a Bachelors degree in Child Development. I hold certifications/credentials as a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner and Orton-Gillingham Practionner.
There is an optional homework activity to write a creative sentence using the word of the day and post it to the classroom to share with the class.
Your child will need m: Small notebook Pencil A small dry erase board w/marker and eraser. Small boards can often be purchased at dollar stores.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
