Description

Class Experience

The of training phonological awareness and learning to read are mutually supportive. "Reading and phonemic awareness are mutually reinforcing: Phonemic awareness is necessary for reading, and reading, in turn, improves phonemic awareness still further." (Shaywitz, 2003)

Set aside just 5 minutes a day 5 days a week to work through these phonemic awareness drills. Each week increasing in difficulty. 

Each day Monday-Friday a video of phonemic awareness auditory drills will be posted following...

I am a Reading Specialist at a high need title 1 school. I also have a private practice where I provide intervention to students who have dyslexia. Teaching reading is my favorite thing in the world. If you are struggling or just need support I would love to be a resource to any family working to improve their child’s reading fluency/comprehension

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
