Each week focuses on a different topic, including multi-digit multiplication, long division, multi-step problems, and estimation, ensuring a comprehensive and practical learning experience. Ideal for enhancing math proficiency and confidence, this course offers quick, daily lessons tailored for 5th graders.

**Course Format:
This is a four-week course. Each week will focus on a different math concept.

Teacher will provide a printable, teacher-created 44-page PDF workbook for the course. This workbook contains notes pages and practice problems for the learner to use while watching the video lesson(s) each week. It also contains the daily word problems for the learner to complete independently.

At least one video lesson is provided on the first day of each week.
Each lesson begins with an overview of the objectives for the week.
Next, the concepts are taught and explored through clear, easy-to-follow instruction and presentation material.
All pre-recorded videos include practice questions.
Students are given the opportunity to pause the video and work the problem independently, then continue the video for the answers.
At the end of the video, students are given instructions for post-lesson practice.

This course has 20 lessons, or 5 lessons per week.
Each week contains at least one weekly video lesson, three practice problems, and five daily independent practice word problems. Depending on the complexity of the topic and the number of problem-solving strategies, there may also be supplemental video lessons posted on the second through fifth days of the week. Please see the syllabus for more detail.
--Week 1 and Week 2 have three video lessons each.
--Week 3 has one video lesson.
--Week 4 has two video lessons.

This course should take approximately 3-5 hours to complete.
Weekly lessons are 10-20 minutes each. This course contains 20 daily practice problems in addition to the video lessons and video practice problems.
Additional practice outside of class should take 10-15 minutes per day.

Homework assignments can be submitted through the assignment section in the lesson. Preferably, learners should take a picture of their homework with their work and solution. Learners may also message the homework to the teacher.

Although I always try to respond to learner and parent messages right away, please allow up to 24 hours for a response, and up to 3 business days for homework feedback and/or corrections.

This class is best for any student ages 9-12, or those students looking to learn, practice or review word problems at the fifth grade / grade 5 / year 5 level. Students do not need to have mastered the concepts or topics of the class beforehand. We will learn/re-learn, practice and review in class.
