Middle school students LOVE grammar, right? With daily practice and continuous positive reinforcement, students will improve their grammar and find confidence in English Language Arts. In only 30 minutes 4 times per week, we will help students feel confident in learning and using grammar to communicate. This is an interactive class, student participation is integral to student success. Each day will include three segments: a warm-up journal question to practice communication skills, grammar practice, and either a lesson or a game to practice the skill we are focusing on for the week. Each week is unique and does not require prior knowledge from previous classes. However, students are expected to have a basic knowledge of parts of speech (nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, and conjunctions), as well as basic punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.
