Students will learn age-appropriate and interesting facts about the Mexican Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) holiday and how it is celebrated in Mexico and the United States. The teacher, who is of Chicana / Mexican heritage, will explain common misconceptions of this holiday. We will finish off the class with a fun Kahoot! review. The class will be conducted in English with some Spanish words related to the content. The teacher will define these words as she presents her material. No previous Spanish experience is required.
