Through sharing and discussion plus an online game, the class will gain insight into the context surrounding the D Day invasion, the significance of the effort plus the challenges confronting those involved in the fighting. Focal points will be the geographic circumstances, the leaders involved plus the equipment which was featured in the battle action. Special attention will also be given to considering how D Day played a unique role in creating a World War Two turning point for the Allied powers.
