This class is a Phonics game; students take turns blending words with CVC and CVCe words. Students collect ice cream scoops hoping to find consonants to blend words; they are also able to collect scoops that let them run, jump, and other actions; answer questions about their "favorites", and trade words. Students will have fun spelling and reading words. It will be lots of fun to see how many ice cream cones they can complete! Student will benefit from having a knowledge of the consonant and vowel sounds.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
