Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will paint a silhouette of a black cat on a pumpkin. Students will will blend colors, mix colors, learn about silhouettes, and practice dry brushing. Students will describe and evaluate their work (optional during share time).
No homework, although artists may want to continue working on their painting after class.
Learners will need items for painting with acrylic or watercolor paints, including: Paint (acrylic or watercolor) Large and small paintbrushes Water and paper towels A hairdryer! Canvas, canvas board, canvas paper, or cardboard (for acrylic) Watercolor paper (for watercolor) A black marker, like a Sharpie, for drawing on the canvas (or pencil for watercolor paper) Optional: Gold paint pen (and other colors) An old shirt, apron or smock
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment is informal in this painting class, as the teacher makes sure young artists understand every step of the painting.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is suggested while learners are painting. It can be messy!
