This is a very beginning and basic drawing class for students to follow along. No prior drawing or art experience is required. In this class, we will learn about cats. We will learn some fun facts and have great conversations with the teacher and other students. This class is also gamified so students will be able to play games and do puzzles. This is a great class for young learners who love cats, love drawing/coloring or just exploring different hobbies. What to expect for class: 1. We will introduce ourselves. 2. We will have a short discussion about what we already know about cats. 3. We will draw and color a picture of a cat. (If you child does not want to draw they may color the cats provided in my attachments) I will show the students step by step how to draw the cat. (This is a directed drawing. Students may decide to add their own details to their own personal picture.) 4. We will learn some new, fun facts about cats. We will learn about cats through fun discussions. We may learn about different habitats, diets, unique qualities etc. 5. We will share our pictures with the class (if time allows) I strive to make learning fun for every learner. Through this class students will develop a love for animals and drawing in an exciting and enthusiastic classroom environment. If your learner has a specific animal they would like to learn more about and draw please let me know. I can't wait to meet your learner soon!

Hello! My name is Ms. Lee! Thank you for visiting my profile today.
I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and elementary ages.
Qualifications 📚
I earned a B.A. in Human development at the University of California San Diego and have been working in education for over 12 years. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home, school and community settings designing programs to help students access the world around them. I previously taught students from ages 3-18 years old with different learning abilities. When my daughter was born, I became an online ESL teacher. I want to continue my passion teaching children around the world so I am grateful to teach at Outschool.
Philosophy 💡
My early background experiences set the foundations for my teaching style. My belief is that building on the foundation of a positive relationship and teaching students in a way that capitalizes on their abilities, strengths and experiences can help improve their learning and achievement. In turn, this can foster improved student self-confidence, leading to continued learning and success. My classes are designed to have your student engaged and to love learning. You can be sure that they will be high energy and highly engaging.
Hobbies and Interest 🎨
In addition to outschool, I enjoy spending time with my family. I love cooking different foods from different cultures. I also love working out, knitting, arts and crafts and traveling.
Thank you for visiting my profile today. I hope to meet your learner soon!
