30 mins in-class hours per weekClass Experience
In this weekly (30+ minute) Cute Animal Drawing Club, our drawing projects will be learner-directed based on their list of subject requests. The current list is available in the comment section of this classroom. To get the ball rolling our first five projects are listed below. Week of 3/12 - Kitty Cat Week of 3/19 - Doggie Week of 3/26 - Panda Bear Week of 4/02- Owl Week of 4/09- NO CLASS Week of 4/16- Unicorn Surprise Week of 4/23- Elephant Week of 4/30- Piggy Week of 5/07- Snake Week of 5/14- Crocodile Week of 5/21- Gorilla Week of 5/28- Cow Week of 6/04- Horse ... Students are welcome to come to class with an idea to share or just join in to listen, hang out, draw, and learn about art with a happy group of folks. Students may follow along with the demonstration or work on their own design with support and encouragement from Dustin and possibly the other students (my students are always awesome, kind, and full of amazing ideas). Depending on time, students may get the chance to begin coloring their creations any way they choose but will probably need to complete their art after class. At the end of the session, students will be allowed to share their masterpieces if they want to. We need to keep the microphones open in order to support our collaborative and interactive space for creating art. Please help your artist by setting them up in a quiet place away from phone calls, televisions, radios, people chatting, and all the other noisy necessities in our lives… I don't have a place like that in my home, so I use headphones with a noise cancelling microphone 🎤😊 🎧 Due to the nature and pace of drawing classes we will not restart or redraw projects for late students because that is unfair to the art students who arrive at the scheduled start time. Tardy students will be happily welcomed into the classroom and they are welcome to catch-up as best they can and draw along with the rest of us. A recording of the entire class will be available and may be reviewed, at your convenience, under the “Recordings” tab on your learner’s classroom page about an hour after class ends. THANKS very much!

Supply List
I suggest having several pieces of 8.5” x 11” printer paper ready for testing markers, sampling colors, and starting additional drawings. Any and or all of the following will work great: Crayons Color Pencils Pens Markers Pencils are okay for you to use —but I have difficulty seeing your work when the pencil lines are very fine and delicate. Any paper will work. Please commit 10 pieces of paper to each class session (we probably won’t use them all).
1 file available upon enrollment

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
My Classes are an accessible introduction to your lifelong artistic journey. I use crayons and butcher paper to teach kids how to love drawing by demonstrating a step-by-step technique that will allow them to draw anything.
Drawing is a fundamental skill that helps children develop a range of abilities, such as observation, creativity, problem-solving and communication skills. It also promotes critical thinking, concentration, hand-eye coordination, and fine motor skills.
Moreover, drawing is an essential skill that can be applied to other fields, such as architecture, graphic design, animation, and illustration. The early development of these skills can prepare young artists for success in their future careers.
Overall, teaching drawing to young artists is important because it fosters creativity, self-expression, and critical thinking skills, and it can lead to success in various career paths.
I am excited to draw with you!
~ Dustin
**CLASS POLICIES***
1 - I strive to keep classes close to the scheduled amount of time. However, depending on the number of students enrolled and the students' pace, classes may run a few minutes over, but we’ll never dismiss early.
2 - Classes will begin at their scheduled time, even if all students are not in the classroom. If your learner has missed the beginning of class, they can watch the class video later to see what they missed.
3 - If there are no learners, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting the classroom.
4 - Classroom expectations are as follows:
A. Students will remain muted the entire lesson to avoid any distracting background noise that may disturb other students.
B. Parents and siblings are welcome to watch the class, but if siblings are going to participate, each sibling must be enrolled in the lesson individually.

**REFUNDS/TRANSFERS**
I will not refund or reimburse for unused coupons or misunderstood coupons. If contacted, I will be VERY HAPPY to give you another coupon for any class!
🎁🥳👍
If, within the week, you realize you won't be able to make class, please submit a transfer request at least 24 hours before class begins. This ensures another student who would like to take the course has enough time to see the opening and enroll.
If contacted after class has started, I cannot refund or transfer. I understand some emergencies may arise, and I will do my best to support you if I am contacted before the class is scheduled.
