In this weekly class, students will discuss current events, daily life and increase social interaction while unleashing creativity in the form of building a collage.

Class experience

  • Students will work on and gain social skills by interacting with peers. They will also have a nice wind down activity in the form of art journaling collages.
I began art journaling and creating collages to act as a wind down activity from a crazy day. I have found that doing something creative has helped with anxiety and dark thoughts that may creep into our daily life. I have now filled many pages with pieces that I am very proud of. These pages and small sections of the day have left me feeling accomplished and calm at the end of the day. I hope to bring this same comfort and creativity to students.
