💗 I adore helping young learners develop a love for writing by making writing lessons fun and engaging. We do a lot of creative writing, to begin, as this tends to be the most fun way to connect writing with what comes naturally to children--storytelling! I seek to use topics that interest the individual learner, from super heroes to unicorns, princesses to sports, one-on-one tutoring allows us to use the things that interest your child to get them engaged in the writing process! 🎓 I graduated from Texas Woman's University, with a honors, with a Bachelor or Arts degree in English. I then went on to obtain several different teaching certifications: Early Childhood Through 4th Grade (EC-4), English 6-8 (Grades 6-8), and English as a Second Language (ESL). Long story short, this means I have the qualifications to professionally teach all subjects at the elementary level and English Language Arts at the middle school level. Some things we might focus on in this class: -Creative Writing -How to Write a Complete Sentence -How to Write a Descriptive Sentence -How to Write a Proper Paragraph -How to Write a 5-Paragraph Essay -Grammar and Punctuation -Editing an Essay 📝 PLEASE NOTE: This is a multi-week class. I also offer this class in several other formats, including one-time trial classes, 4-week classes, and twice-a-week classes classes. If you'd like another time-frame or format, please reach out! 🚫 CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: This is a one-on-one class, which means this time is specifically reserved for your child. As such, missed classes and last minute cancellations will not receive a refund. Outschool's Limited Refund Policy applies to this class.

This class is a great fit for learners who do not "fit in the box" of traditional curriculums, as Ms. Price customizes each lesson to the unique needs of each learner. Ms. Price enjoys working with neurodivergent, 2E, and gifted learners!
Supply List
Learners will have the option to do their writing on paper or typing in Google docs. For some learners, pen to paper works best. However, for other learners, the ability to type out their thoughts improves their writing process. I have great success helping learners both ways, so we will do whatever is most comfortable for your learner. If your learner would like to use Google docs, please make sure that they are logged into Google before class starts.
