Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 8
In this private 1:1 tutoring session, students will receive personalized instruction tailored to their current math level, from Algebra I to Algebra II (excluding geometry). Whether reviewing homework or tackling new concepts, each session is designed to build confidence and academic success. Please provide any homework or specific topics at least 5 hours before the session, or I will provide relevant materials. I use a mix of worksheets, slides with interactive features, illustrations, and real-life examples, with optional use of Kahoot for a fun learning experience. Weekly sessions are recommended unless more intensive instruction is needed.

Students will receive customized instruction in Algebra I & II, focusing on their specific needs and areas of difficulty.

Topics I cover include (but are not limited to):
✏️ Solving Linear Equations and Inequalities
✏️ Graphing Linear Functions
✏️ Quadratic Functions and Equations
✏️ Polynomials and Factoring
✏️ Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
✏️ Complex Numbers
✏️ Probability and Statistics

Each session is 60 minutes long and begins with a brief review of the student's progress and any specific challenges they are facing. We will then focus on either reviewing provided homework or covering new material. The session will end with a summary of what was learned and an outline of any recommended practice for the next session.

My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I use a combination of:

Worksheets and slides with interactive elements
Real-life examples to make abstract concepts relatable
Illustrations to visually explain complex ideas
Optional Kahoot quizzes for engaging practice
Learning Goals
