In this weekly course, students will learn and practice writing and reading cursive letters, words, and sentences dependent on previous knowledge and experience. Spacing, neatness, and letter formation are all a part of the process. #confidence
Class Experience
I will provide tutoring to students for cursive. Dependent on a student's need and parent's desire, this might include basic strokes of undercurve, downcurve, overcurve, and slant as well as understanding they have a certain shape, size, and spacing of the letters. In addition, students can practice reading the words and/or sentences to me that are written in cursive. Every week, students will be taught how to write a group letters. We will work on individual letters and short words and...
- The student will receive guided instruction on how to read and write cursive on skills determined by the parent and student. They will understand formation of letters and joining of letters to make words. In addition, they should be able to read the words.
I have taught cursive for over 12 years in the classroom. In addition, parents have had me do tutoring to provide refresher practice to reinforce difficult letters and reading letters.
Handwriting paper (can be emailed to you in PDF form to print if you like) Or notebook paper with a highlighter Pencils pencil sharpener *optional- shaving cream
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
