What will be taught? Learners will master the fundamentals of cursive handwriting, including all uppercase and lowercase letters, connecting letters to form words, writing sentences, and creating their own signature. How is your class structured? The class is self-paced, with weekly video lessons, printable practice sheets, and assignments designed to build cursive fluency progressively. How will you teach? I will use step-by-step video demonstrations, clear explanations, and guided practice to help learners understand and apply cursive handwriting techniques. What's your teaching style? My teaching style is encouraging, supportive, and patient, with a focus on helping learners build confidence through consistent practice and positive reinforcement. How much will learners get to interact with you? Learners can interact with me through the class discussion board by asking questions, sharing assignments, and receiving personalized feedback. I will also provide weekly prompts to encourage engagement and progress.
Learning Goals

Introduction to Cursive Handwriting
Learn the basics of cursive handwriting, including proper grip, posture, and understanding the fluid motion of cursive strokes. Practice basic shapes and foundational strokes that will be used to form letters.
Lesson 2:
Lowercase Letters – Part 1
Begin learning lowercase cursive letters, focusing on vowels (a, e, i, o, u). Understand how to connect these letters smoothly.
Lesson 3:
Lowercase Letters – Part 2
Expand your skills by learning additional lowercase letters (b, c, d, g, h). Practice connecting these letters in short words
Lesson 4:
Lowercase Letters – Part 3
Complete the lowercase alphabet by learning the remaining letters (f, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z). Focus on smooth and consistent connections.

This class will include video resources from YouTube and Khan Academy Kids. YouTube content may contain ads, but they will be avoided in the instructional videos shared within the class. Khan Academy Kids is a safe and child-friendly platform with no account required for access. Both platforms are used to support cursive handwriting lessons and activities.
Pre-Requisites
No previous classes or experience are required for this course. Learners should have basic handwriting skills and be comfortable holding and using a pen or pencil.
