Description
Class Experience
🧩 While looting the mysterious Monument of Legend, the entrances have sealed and you've been trapped inside. With the effects of your potion of water breathing wearing off, you must navigate through a series of logic, critical thinking, and code puzzles to escape. Keep your wits about you, because one wrong turn could be your last. ⏱ After an introduction, you will have 50 minutes to work through 5 puzzles together to escape the Monument, possibly with treasure. Class length may vary...
I want students to walk away from this escape room with not only a fun memory, but the confidence to take risks and make mistakes. Students will work on navigating through mental blocks when under a time crunch. Similar to real-world collaboration, students will also get to practice communicating their ideas with others in a positive and inclusive environment.
I have been teaching Minecraft courses since 2017. I'm passionate about facilitating immersive experiences that allow students to connect with others and grow in their creativity.
I highly recommend having a piece of scratch paper and pencil handy for notes and problem solving.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No references to blood or gore, only fighting underwater monsters that are found in Minecraft.
