Description

Class Experience

Students will gain an understanding of some of the key economic, political, and social issues they'll face as they enter adulthood and how they can tackle them with confidence.
A unique code will be provided to enter the Nearpod activity page prior to the start of class, along with instructions for accessing this free and easy website/app. No other supplies are needed! Just come ready to learn!
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Current events, political and historical content will be briefly discussed and viewed, including Covid19 and the wars in the Middle East. All discussions and images will be mild and age appropriate.
We will refer to a theory developed by geopolitical analyst George Friedman, particularly in his book 'The Storm Before the Calm: America's Discord, The Coming Crisis of the 2020's, and the Triumph Beyond.'
