This class will be an on-going offering. Each week we will discuss a different region. We will touch on Europe, The Middle East, Asia and Indian Country in the Americas. Each week a topic will be presented including information for the students to discern between legitimate, fake and satirical news sources. Additional exercises may be created to solidify the students understanding of the topics covered. *Topics will be addressed in a bi-partisan manner and opposing views are welcomed as long as everybody's views are respected. The instructor will make every effort to be transparent regarding their own personal bias and invite students to evaluate and compare how their world view matches or opposes what has been presented. It will be made clear to all students that this class is NOT meant to determine a "right" and "wrong" answers regarding issues discussed but will focus on how to identify the information, how to critique it and come to their own conclusions.
