Class Experience

Children are naturally curious, and the goal of this club is to nurture this important future-ready skill in a warm and open setting. Each week we will begin with a broad theme (examples: time, play, animals). These themes will shift based on the interests of regular members, but will always remain broad so that everyone connects easily.

Structure
1. Introductions (2-3 min) - Learners will share their first name and respond to a playful prompt for that day.
2. Share Theme (2-3 min) - The theme will be introduced through a variety of methods (ex: images, video clips, questions, stories, etc...)
3. Gather Questions (3-4 min) - Students will playfully share out ANY curiosities they have about the theme. I will gather and share these on a Google Slide for easy reference.
4. Discuss Theme and Questions (15-20 min) - Students will freely engage with each other to share their thinking, stories, and connections related to the theme. I will serve as a facilitator to help guide, probe, and maintain the momentum of the conversation. If and when discussions veer too far away from the theme, we will honor and save that topic in the "Future themes" collector.
5. Closing (3-5 minutes) - We will end each club session by inviting ALL other non-theme related curiosities. These will be captured in Google Slides and used to identify new themes for the group.

This style of engaging learners is a joy to lead and observe. The club provides enough structure to give students a clear starting point and connection while also embracing the flexible interaction that builds social skills and confidence.
