Description
Class Experience
Students will gain an understanding of Ancient History. They will learn where civilizations started, and create a timeline to understand how many civilizations came into being simultaneously.
There will be no assigned homework beyond finishing classroom activities. Students wishing to make use of additional materials are welcome to do so!
I will provide a digital textbook and activity guide for each learner. Students will need some of their activity pages printed (maps, coloring pages). Students will also need to be able to access their textbook and activity pages during class. Pencils, and crayons or markers will also be needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This class will be assessed via an informal assessment. At parent request, I will provide summary of how their learner is progressing.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This is a secular history course, and as such, uses the year markers CE and BCE.
The student textbook and activity guide will be provided to each student.
