Ready...Set...Decorate! In this fun, high energy cupcake decorating experience, aspiring cake decorators will have an opportunity to show off their skills as they decorate cupcakes according to a special theme with a a unique combination of decorating items! Similar to Cupcake Wars, students will be given a "decorating theme" and have a limited time to decorate 3 cupcakes according to the theme, with the goal of creating a different, unique design for each cupcake. We will not be baking cupcakes in this class, but rather decorating pre-baked cupcakes. We will start by introducing ourselves, then we will review the rules, next we will decorate and present our cupcakes. Finally we will receive our awards! How it Works: - Parents will need to supply students with 6 plain, pre-baked cupcakes and decorating items. Students can decorate with any items of their choosing or see Supply List below for ideas. - Students will decorate 3 cupcakes - the remaining cupcakes are extra in case there is additional time to decorate more. - At the start of class, I will announce a "decorating theme." Students will decorate 3 cupcakes according to the theme. - Students will be encouraged to create different designs for each cupcake, utilizing different decorating items. - Students will have 30 minutes to decorate the 3 cupcakes. - Once decorating is complete, each student will have an opportunity to present their uniquely decorated cupcakes to the class. - Finally, each student will be given a special award at the end of class! Students should have basic kitchen knowledge, and any use of knives/chopping or stove cooking must be supervised by parent.

Students will practice healthy competition, while developing good sportsmanship skills and positive camaraderie.

Parental Guidance
Any use of knives/chopping or stove use must be supervised by parent. Parents are also responsible for reviewing ingredients for allergy or dietary restrictions, and making appropriate substitutions as needed.
Supply List
Possible Decorating Items - These items are not required for class, this is just a list of some commonly used items. Feel free to use any decorating items of your choice. - White icing - Food coloring - Cookies - Candies - Berries or dried fruit - Marshmallows - Chocolate chips - Powdered/confectioners sugar - Ziploc bags, piping bags, piping tips - Any other item you'd like
