Participants will be guided through the steps of baking and decorating cupcakes, and then challenge one another in a summer-themed decorating contest. We will first review rules of safe baking. Next, we move into a check for all necessary supplies. This will happen quickly to allow for baking and cooling time. Students will have the ingredients and recipe handy, but I will guide them step by step, answering questions along the way. While cupcakes bake, I will teach how to make a buttercream...
Students will acquire baking skills and decorate cupcakes with creativity around a theme.

Since we will be baking, be mindful of your child's needs. A parent should be in the home and should supervise children with any task such as working appliances and tools that you feel the child is not ready to manage alone.
