It is never too early to start talking to your children about the differences in each and every one of us. Tackling such important and complex subjects like diversity or different cultures might feel overwhelming, but one of the best ways is through books. They're a digestible way to introduce these important topics and a great way of easing into conversations with your kids. Every week we will read one new book and have a small discussion about what learners enjoyed about the book and what they thought of it. This class is ideal as a pre bedtime routine. Learners can wear their favorite PJ's and bring a stuffed animal to show to the class before story time. They can bring a new animal every class if they'd like or share what they did today for a warm up activity. Class Structure: 0-6 min: Introductions and Show and/or Tell 6 min- 15 min: Story Read Aloud 15min- 25 min : Teacher led/Student led discussion about the book (Week of 8/15)-The Proudest Blue Book by Ibtihaj Muhammad and S.K.
