Class Experience
Our dessert class teaches students how to measure ingredients, cook, bake and display food with an artistic element. In this class, students will learn how to make Pineapple Cake Pops. Once they master the skills in decorating, they can apply the process to use yellow candy melt for more pineapple and any other fruit themed cake pops after class. Pineapple Cake Pops Ingredients for Cake Pops: (makes ~12-16) ● Cake pop dough premade, chilled and ready for shaping ( crumble a whole 8" cake of choice, mix in 1-2 tbsp frosting of choice and yellow food coloring, knead into a soft dough consistency, chill in fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes before class) ● 18oz Yellow chocolate candy melts ● 8oz Green chocolate candy melts ● Paramount crystals/ EZ-Thin/ virgin coconut oil (solid) to thin out chocolate if needed ● Yellow food coloring Tools: ● Wax paper on a large cookie sheet/ tray ● Toothpicks for decorating ● 12-16 Lollipop sticks ● Microwave safe bowls for melting candy ● Spoons and forks for dipping and lifting ● Small Ziploc bag with #1 piping tip (if you do not have piping tip, you can just cut a tiny corner off the bag) ● Cake-pop stand/ styrofoam block or something to stick the pops unto for drying ● Microwave ● Room in fridge/ freezer to allow cake balls to dry quickly
