Has your child watched dozens of Rubik's Cube videos on Youtube attempting the confusing algorithms with minimal success? Or maybe your child has never even heard of the cube, but you remember it from your childhood and think they're up for the challenge? This course is the perfect solution! My easy to understand, storytelling model of teaching provides a detailed, step-by-step breakdown of how to solve the Rubik's Cube. The camp-style schedule allows students to follow along live and then...
Students will learn to solve and complete the Rubik's Cube independently by the end of this course.
As an elementary teacher and passionate cuber, I am excited for the opportunity to help students challenge their minds and learn to solve the Rubik's cube. Instead of confusing and complicated algorithms, I teach using fun and engaging stories to help students to remember and learn.
Practice, practice, practice! Students will be given weekly assignments to post on the discussion board with pictures, videos or answering questions. They should also be interacting on the discussion board cheering on their classmates' success!
Students must have a 3x3 Rubik's Cube!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed by their completion and timing for solving each layer and ultimately the entire cube with the goal of trying to get the fastest time in the class!
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
