Do you like science? Would you like to learn science while playing games? If so, you are at the right page. This 4 session class will permit you to learn or refresh some notions of biology while playing famous games. Session 1: CSI investigation: animal and plant cells Session 2: DNA crime lab Session 3: Escape room: Genetics and hereditary Session 4: Bingo: The end of the escape room if we did not finish it the last session or the game Anatomy of cells This class is interactive. All documents needed will be provided at the beginning of the class. Learners may have some knowledge in biology but will also have all access to their own resources (biology books, internet, etc.). Questions are answered as a group, we will all learn as a team and solve the mystery together. The only competition game is the Bingo where each learner will be playing for itself. Each session is on a different subject to learn new biology notions each time. It is easier if all learners join this class willing to exchange with others and play the game. Therefore, it is essential that the learner has access to a microphone. I will always provide support and answer questions when needed.

My name is Delphine.
As you can guess with my name, I am French and a scientist.
I was born and raised in France up until my 27 years old. After obtaining my master and PhD in Biology, I came to the US to work as a scientist for over 5 years and focused on cell biology, genetics and oncology. I then decided to complete a master in public health in the US and continue my career as public health educator for different companies.
During all these years, I also taught biology to students from 6th grade to master student and I supervised several undergraduates, graduates or PhD students in my different jobs. As I want to share my passions as much as possible, I decided to start teaching on Outschool and be able to be with you wherever you are.
I offer classes in French to all age students. I design my classes around a subject each week so that notions and words can be repeated and learned easily and using real-life projects to engage students more deeply in learning. I love my country and my culture of origin so I believe that I can transmit my passions to my learners! I also offer biology classes, asI am passionate about science, especially human body, and encourage learners in the passionating world of science! I believe that learning is easier when learners are engaged and explore their own interests.
I am also a happy mother of a 1 and half year old daughter, who fulfilled my life. I particularly appreciate following the Montessori technique with her. As Dr Montessori said, “let the children be free, just encourage them”. And this is really what I always try to do with her and my students.

Class policies:
1) Class will start on the time indicated unless special circumstances. I will be connected few minutes before to let everyone in and start on time indicated.
2) Please advise at least 24h before if you cannot attend a class and we can reschedule it.
3) I will begin the class even if learners are not in the classroom. As the class is ongoing, I cannot contact the missing learners, but I will contact them at the end of the class.
4) If no learners are in the classroom, I will wait 10 minutes before exiting the classroom and contact the families.Reviews
