Cryptozoology and Bigfoot: Real or Not? (Private Class , 1:1)

In this private (1-on-1) multi-day class, students will delve into cryptozoology and determine for themselves whether many folklore animals such as Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, Chupacabra, Mokele-Mbembe, and others are real or not.

Class Experience

Critical Thinking- Each student will determine for themselves whether each creature exists or not and why. 
Scientific Method- Students will be presented with the scientific method to help determine whether cryptozoology is a legitimate scientific branch of study.
I was a middle school science teacher for 10 years and currently homeschool my 11-year-old daughter. I have my Bachelors in Biology and my Masters in Healthcare Administration. There is lots of interest in today's society about pseudoscience i.e. ghosts and monsters of legends. In this class, I want to encourage students to utilize the scientific method to determine whether they can prove the existence of these things. Using their critical thinking skills in this class will encourage them to utilize them in other classes as well. 
No homework is given.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learner progress is assessed through class discussion.
20 minutes per class, and maybe some time outside of class.
There will be mention of 'creatures' or 'monsters'. Please make sure your learner is mature enough (and interested enough!) that these elements are not scary. We may discuss Bigfoot and Bigfoot-type creatures (yeti, Sasquatch), lake monsters (Loch Ness, Chessie), kraken (large octopus) and show videos of some of these creatures (Bigfoot film footage).

Hello students and parents!

I will be on vacation from November 4-11, 2023. I will have spotty wifi so will be unable to check messages every day. I will still be communicating and grading papers, but my turnaround time will be much slower.
