If you thought the movie was good, read the book! In this class, we will follow the epic battle of the last known titans around the world and even to Hollow Earth through the pages of the official move novelization of Godzilla vs. Kong. The book will be broken up into four sections which we will read independently before each meeting. Learners will have a printable organizer to record new information learned about the history of Godzilla and Kong, the conflict between the human characters and the monsters, and the science and significance of Hollow Earth and the creatures who live there according to the story, among other things. This is a discussion based class in which learners can talk about what they read with kaiju fans from all around. Learners will be expected to have read the assigned section of the book prior to each class and to have added details to their organizer about which they wish to discuss in class. Hello! My name is Rebecca and I LOVE teaching! I have a Bachelor of Science in Education and am in the process of earning my Master of Science in Reading Education. I love creating and adapting my own curricula to make learning engaging and fun for the virtual learner and believe that providing interactive, organized, and thoughtful instruction in a supportive environment can pave the way for even the most hesitant student. It is my philosophy that learning happens in many ways, so, naturally, teaching should, too! My classes incorporate a variety of teaching tools to provide for different learning styles.
