The four-lesson hands-on flex class introduces learners to: the parts of the Microsoft Word screen, ribbon, commands, icons, character formatting, copy and paste, borders and shading, alignment, print orientation, selecting text and others. Education and Experience • 20 years teaching middle and high school (dual credit) • 17+ years teaching at college level • Master of Science in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems • Microsoft Office Specialist in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Homework Offered
Student is required to complete documents, projects and quizzes presented during class and submit at the end of class.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class

Computer with video, sound and document saving capability, newer version of Microsoft Word (2019 or Office 365) preferred
At the beginning of each week I send a: * link to a video that I have made specifically for the class * Document that goes over the new skill sets step-by-step. * When complete the learner submits the lesson. * I review the lesson and send a detailed message with corrections if needed. * The learner corrects the errors and re-submits. During the week I am always available to answer any questions or schedule a brief meeting with them on Zoom if necessary.
