Class Experience

The four-lesson hands-on flex class introduces learners to: the parts of the Microsoft Word screen, ribbon, commands, icons, character formatting, copy and paste, borders and shading, alignment, print orientation, selecting text and others. This class includes worksheets for learners to complete either in class or as homework.
This is a segment of the technology applications class that I taught in middle school for 20 years. I wrote the curriculum based on skill requirements set by the state of Texas. The Word portion is divided into two basic parts.

How do the flex classes work?

At the beginning of each week I send a:
        * link to a video that I have made specifically for the class
 	* Document that goes over the new skill sets step-by-step.
 	* When complete the learner submits the lesson.
 	* I review the lesson and send a detailed message with corrections if needed.
 	* The learner corrects the errors and re-submits..
During the week I am always available to answer any questions or schedule a brief meeting with them on Zoom if necessary.
