In this class, we will create a multi media cross section of a pumpkin that includes seeds and pulp. It is a paper craft that includes pumpkin seeds and yarn. This class is for preschool, kindergarten, and 1st Grade.

Description

Class Experience

This class is a fun and exciting class about pumpkins. We will create a multi media pumpkin including paper, seeds, and yarn.  There is a printable that needs to be printed on light orange paper. While we create this cross section of a pumpkin, we will add a little science into our lesson. Our creation of a pumpkin will be fun as we have exciting discussions about the parts of a pumpkin and the life cycle of the pumpkin. The focus will be on the art work. The learner will work on fine motor skills.
The learner will explore different mediums while creating their project.
The learner will create a cross section of a pumpkin.
The learner will be exposed to the life cycle of the pumpkin.
The learner will be exposed to the parts of the pumpkin.

1 paper plate
1 sheet orange construction paper torn into half inch to 1 inch pieces (fine motor skills)
1 scrap of green construction paper one inch square
1 sheet of light orange paper
glue
pumpkin seeds
orange yarn

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
