We will investigate how to add value to surfaces by using the technique of cross-hatching with contour lines on three small studies!
Class experience
Students will learn and apply the technique of cross-hatching with three different forms/surfaces. Contour lines will be introduced as these help make objects appear realistic when used for shading. This class is taught in a guided-demonstration format. Students will observe the teacher and then complete the step(s) on their own papers. Students will discover how their hand pressure can change the weight of their lines while working on cross-hatching. Students may ask questions as needed...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn how to apply the technique of cross-hatching to achieve values in their artwork.
-White paper (9in. x 12in.) -Pencil -Eraser -Black Fine Point Pen -Micron Size 02 is recommended.
